Measure your Trunk before buying containers!

Measure your Trunk before buying containers!

Posted in [Hurricane Hints] By MitzyGoose
Ok...sounds rather fundamental, doesn't it? Measure the trunk of your GooseMobile before you buy containers for your hurricane supplies. We have to admit though, we heard about this hurricane at 6:30am Monday and we were at the Walmart at 6:30pm. By then, we had already started seeing supplies run out so we were starting to get a bit concerned. So the least of our worries was the size of the plastic box!!! We're quite lucky that the boxes we chose do fit, but the cargo cover JUST barely fastens over our containers and they are oddly shaped so they leave odd sized empty spots around the boxes. In a calmer moment, we probably would have returned those boxes for something a bit more square, 2" narrower and 1" shorter.

While we're talking about containers...we do recommend maybe 2-4 of them so that you can sort your supplies into logical categories so that you can find what you need quickly. Do take the time to label the boxes...even with 1-2 words so that everything can be found when needed! Each passenger in the GooseMobile should know exactly what's in each box, just in case someone needs to find the first aid kit or the signaling mirror!
