Fresh "Frozen Strawberry Yogurt"

Fresh "Frozen Strawberry Yogurt"

Posted in [Recipes for Our Favorite Food] By MitzyGoose

This is a recipe that we learned at a cooking class (of all places!!!). We eat this instead of ice cream when we're dieting. Feel free to substitute your favorite frozen berry. You can buy the berries pre-frozen or buy a bunch on sale and freeze them yourself. If you freeze them yourself, prewash and cut them in half before freezing.

Makes 1-2 small servings (easily doubled!)
3-4 Frozen Strawberries
2-3 heaping teaspoons of low fat Vanilla Yogurt

We have a Braun Multimix, which is similar to a blender, but it also has a food processing bowl with chopping blade. If your food processor's blade is not strong, you can try to put the berries in the microwave to thaw a bit, but don't warm them too much or else you won't have a "frozen treat".

Throw frozen strawberries in the food processor. Pulverize the berries. Mix in yogurt by hand. Add enough yogurt until the strawberry mixture is thick and smooth.

Serve Immediately.
Prep Time: <5 mins
