OMG…after a full Turkey weekend of loading servers, playing with our website, installing, uninstalling software, we’re being driven ABSOLUTELY insane by Microsoft’s “Protection” methods. Every time we turn around “Are you sure?” “Is it ok???” OMG! Yes, I asked you to do it, it’s perfectly fine to DELETE the files that I just told you I wanted to delete and confirmed that I was sure I wanted to delete.
We turned off UAC in Vista and were quite happy. But with Windows 7 and Windows 2008…it seems more difficult to get rid of it.
Microsoft – we appreciate your efforts to notify us of potentially “dastardly” deeds. But we assure you, WE are not the enemy. Maybe you could find a better way to distinguish between authorized actions and non-authorized ones?
