Our geese needed a bit more encouragement to keep exercising at home. We finally tried PodFitness and really enjoy it!

Another 'oldie but goodie' from our ipod play list - we just discovered the video version!!! So Nice with Basia and Taro Hakase! A must see for anyone who thinks that violin can't be hip!
GooseRating: 9 of 10 happy honks!
This is a must see for Americans going to China!!!! Check out that Taxi scene...don't go to China without seeing it. Only one useless "non-kidfriendly" scene - we wish they had removed it to make the movie more "family friendly".

We recently tried the Jolt Caffeine Gum. This story is long and rather amusing. In short, the gum indeed delivers some caffeine fairly quickly. However, heed the warning, the gum is not a substitute for sleep!
GooseRating: 5 of 10 happy honks (it only rates that high because it does do as it says...but it's not "great")
Heard about Digital TV and Feb 19, 2009? Here's a bit more info
Do you "need" a shot of dark chocolate? Dark Chocolate M&Ms not doing it for you anymore? OMG you've go to try these new Dove Rich Dark Chocolates!
Sorry...this is another "The movie doesn't do the TV show justice" movie. The characters went through some personality alterations.
GooseRating: 4 of 10 happy honks
If you want to enjoy the movie, don't watch the TV DVDs first!!!
GooseRating (Movie): 4 of 10 happy honks (after watching TV show) Might have been 8 of 10 happy honks before watching TV show
Goose Rating (TV show): 9 of 10 happy honks
Another great recipe for non-dairy "ice cream". It's not for everyone, but fun to try!
GooseRating: 5 of 10 happy honks
This "recipe" is rather obvious. If you like "fruit on the bottom" yogurt, you've got to try this FRESH, no preservative version.
GooseRating: 10 of 10 happy honks
This is our ABSOLUTELY favorite recipe. A very simple substitute for Ice Cream. GREAT for maintaining our GooseFigure.

We found this tale on the internet and it's so strange and unbelievable that we're not even sure it's real, but our geese giggled while suffering from sighting some rat poop too close to our nest!
This week's episode had some great singing and weird variety acts
Another smooth Jazz wonder from Incognito (the "cogs"). :)

It's nice to get big plastic containers to sort your hurricane gear, but please measure your trunk first!
Finding a hotel room when you think there are none!
Yes...we mean put it together now with an inventory of what's inside. Check your kit often to see if you need to add or rotate any items. From now on, we'll be refreshing our kit for hurricane season and have it ready to go!
For items that can't be stored permanently in your kit, keep a list inside your bin so that you can quickly grab any necessary items so that you don't forget anything.
During natural disasters (and just before) things like Gas, ice and water disappear. Get yours early.
We have a Garmin StreetFinder 2720 and are really thrilled. It was a great "get home from a Hurricane" item since we were driving on unfamiliar roads through construction.
Among our final selections, we grabbed a bunch of tools, screw drivers, hammers, saws etc. We guess that an axe may have been handy but we didn't have one (another item for the "Home Depot" shopping list...).
This may sound ridiculous, but what if you need to signal to a rescuer? Or more likely...what if you need to make a political statement that might be broadcast on CNN 100 times over a 4 day period?
Seriously though, these two items won't take up much room and it's better than trying to spray paint "help" messages on the roof of your car! We considered bringing spray paint but in 100 degree weather, we decided that it could be dangerous. A big poster marker will work just as well.
You wouldn't want to be without these multipurpose items if you don't know what conditions you'll be going to.
Blankets are multipurpose items. One, it covers the stuff in your car to make it a wee bit less attractive to a thief. If you get a reflective blanket, you can attempt to shield yourself from the sun or wrap up someone who is injured. It can become an emergency tent or a flat pillow. If you end up in a shelter, unexpectedly, you can sleep on your blanket. Most of the last minute "shelter of last resorts" do not have blankets - they are safe places to be, but not comfortable! Remember they didn't have time to prepare so if you have a cot, you'll be lucky!
This little multipurpose item can be used for first aid or part of your cooling system (dip the cloth in ice water and pat your forehead). It could also be a nice napkin or placemat for portable meals...
We brought our tiny cooler and wish we had more space. Now we have those insulated bags from the grocery store (you know...those bags where you can put icecream or other frozen foods in so that they'll stay cold if you live far from the store). It's hot out there and you'll want plenty of cold drinks. The melted ice water can also be your portable cooling system or emergency water later on.
Ok...it's a luxury but we didn't buy much and it was light weight. Sometimes, you need a few "lift your spirit" items and we hate having oily feathers!
Yes, unless it's winter, take your bug spray just in case! We even found some neat soap at the camping store that had lavender and other "natural" insect repellants in it so that you could wash your hands and be protected at the same time.
We buy a new State Atlas for each emergency - our highways change all the time so we want the most up-to-date road info.
Stuck on the highway in Texas heat? You need a portable mister!!!
Everyone should have an emergency kit (even if you're not in Hurricane Alley) - here are the basics.
We geese love photography. Here is what we look for when we shop for a camera.
If Oprah can have a list of favorites - so can we geese! This is our favorite list from 2005, reprinted here for your pleasure.
We couldn't live without our Brother P-touch to label everything at our nest!
Grab a few tissues for this one! There are lots of twists and turns in this Scottish drama about a boy who makes a bet with a classmate that his father will visit him. GooseRating: OMG 10 of 10 happy honks!!!
America is really back! Here and Now should have been titled "Hear it Now!" GooseRating: 9 of 10 happy honks
